If you’re going to come you might as well make a vacation out of it! San Francisco is one of Kelli’s favorite US cities (and certainly one of the most beautiful). There are tons of fun things to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

San Francisco<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You can take BART into the city, but you can also drive. Once in the city, you can’t get everywhere on BART, but you can get close to most of the big tourist attractions and then you can take busses if you prefer. I like to take BART if I’m going to one or two places it specifically goes to, but I like to drive if I’m going to be seeing a lot of different things. I like to park at the end of Van Ness (where it intersects with North Point). It’s free for 3 hours and you can easily walk to Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and other points of interest<\/span><\/p>\n

Public transportation to and in SF – BART<\/a><\/span> and MUNI<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ride the Cable Cars<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Golden Gate Park<\/a><\/span> is beautiful! You can also see the Japanese Tea Gardens<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(free if you enter by 10 am on Mon, Wed, or Fri) and the De Young Museum <\/a>there and take an elevator to the top for a great view (walk into the museum main entrance, take a right, and look for the elevator signs. Go to the 9th floor).<\/span><\/p>\n

Palace of Fine Arts – Beautiful architecture. A great place for a picnic or to take some nice pictures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Segway Tour! Seriously awesome. You have no idea. We’ve use these guys<\/a><\/span> in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n

Crissy Field – great view of the Golden Gate Bridge, beach, grassy open field, outdoor workout area. Free parking.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ferry Building Marketplace – good food, interesting shops, souvenirs<\/span><\/p>\n

Seward Street Slides<\/a><\/span> – bring cardboard or something to slide on<\/span><\/p>\n

Baker Beach – Other side of the GG Bridge (also technically a nude beach…you’ve been warned)<\/span><\/p>\n

The Presidio<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

China Town<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Muir Woods<\/a><\/span> is a bit of a drive, but a beautiful\u00a0outdoor place to visit<\/span><\/p>\n

Do an escape room! You can find discounted deals on Groupon here<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
